It has been an exciting two years of transformation! We began with a small group of around 10 people to explore the possibility of starting a church plant in Greensboro, North Carolina. Everyone in attendance was enthusiastic, and since then, many exciting developments have taken place! It hasn’t always been easy, but God has shown Himself faithful through every step of the process. Today, we have more than 50 people who call Transformation Worship Center home.
God has been moving by His Holy Spirit in our services. We have witnessed over 20 salvations and 25 baptisms. It has been incredibly exciting to see people turning to Jesus and their lives being transformed.
Currently, we gather in a former hotel lounge that we’ve converted into a coffee station and worship center. It’s a fantastic place to fellowship and worship. With a projector, movie screen, and surround sound system already installed, we’ve been able to stream amazing music and teachings. We’ve hosted movie nights and are planning more to reach the unchurched. Our outreach ministry provides groceries, cooked meals, and other essentials to families in need. I’m so grateful for our church family, who exemplifies generosity by bringing items to bless others weekly.
We are on a journey to make disciples and are thankful for those the Lord has placed in our care. Along with our Sunday morning worship and preaching, we hold Tuesday night teachings on foundational biblical truths, encouraging our congregation to deepen their walk with God.
This past year, our daughter Ashley accepted the call into ministry. She completed her first-year courses and received her Local Minister’s License through the Cornerstone Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team at Transformation!
Mike and I are so proud of each of our children. As mentioned earlier, Ashley is part of the Transformation team. Her son Xavier is about to be 7, and Ruthie is 4. Joshua is a part of Northview Harvest Ministries in Laurinburg, NC, where he is being mentored by Pastor Tim Hodge and Pastor Faye Coates. He is serving at their outreach ministry, Restoring Hope Center. His son Hayden, 16, recently told his PaPa that he wants to “carry on the family business.” Our youngest daughter, Courtney, lives in Durham, NC, with her husband Spencer, who is a Youth Pastor there. They have three beautiful children: Aliza, 5; Theo, 3; and Kate, 1. Our son Caleb is working full-time as a General Manager for Domino’s Pizza near the North Carolina coast. We are so thankful to God for what He has done in our family and how He has transformed our lives. We would love to share our testimonies with you so you can see how these numerous miracles have unfolded!

The Journey ...
Transformation Outreach is a new church plant in Greensboro, NC, led by Pastors Mike and Kim Bullis, who have been in ministry for more than 35 years, 25 of those years being in Greensboro, and most recently in South Carolina. After a brief sabbatical that overlapped with the pandemic, Mike and Kim had a strong vision to return to Greensboro. During a time of rest and renewal, the Lord kept placing the homeless and low-income areas of Greensboro on their hearts. Pastor Kim had worked for area hotels for over a decade and had seen many families who were one step away from being homeless. The Lord placed a heavy burden on her to reach out to this population.

On July 7, 2022, Mike and Kim met with 10 people in the Greensboro area to see if there was any interest in the vision. Everyone was very receptive. The following Sunday night, the group gathered for an informal time of singing, prayer, and preaching. Transformation Outreach has quickly grown each week as people of varied backgrounds, color, and walks of life gather to grow in Christ. In November 2022, Pastor Mike resigned from his church in SC as a step of obedience and faith to launch this new church plant. Transformation Outreach's first Sunday morning gathering was in December of 2022 and to everyone’s excitement, more than 40 people attended. To God be the glory!

It has truly been amazing to watch God take this vision and make it into a reality. Transformation Outreach is still in its beginning stages, but God is meeting every need along this journey. The church is currently meeting in a renovated bar of the Econo Lodge in Greensboro, NC, which has been transformed into an anointed place where the Holy Spirit moves. God has used the owners of the motel to bless this vision.

Community Outreach
Transformation Outreach is the community outreach arm of the newly formed Transformation Worship Center. The vision is to offer life skills training to church family to bring healing to mind, body, and spirit.

Ways You Can Be Involved:
1. Volunteer. Transformation Outreach has opportunities to serve the Lord and our community!
2. Giving. Some have the means to donate financially, some can give time; many can do both.
3. Prayer. At Transformation Outreach, the church believes that prayer more than anything else can change lives! Please join them in prayer for God’s Will to be accomplished and that many lives will be changed!
